1. About us

Diving Journeys (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a travel operator registered in Greece, licensed under MHTE 0260E70000055800. We arrange scuba diving trips, liveaboards and related travel services worldwide, operating as a digital-first agency with no physical office.

2. Booking & confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we issue written confirmation and receive the required deposit. The person making the booking confirms they have the authority to do so on behalf of everyone in their party, and that all information provided is accurate and complete. A deposit of 25% of the total trip cost is payable at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

3. Prices & payment

Prices are quoted per person unless stated otherwise and are subject to availability at the time of booking. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors before a booking is confirmed. Prices may be affected by factors outside our control, such as currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges or changes in third-party rates; where this affects a confirmed booking, we will notify you as soon as possible.

4. Cancellations & refunds

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following cancellation charges apply, calculated from the date we receive written notice of cancellation:

  • More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit only.
  • 30–60 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total trip cost.

If Diving Journeys cancels a trip (for example, due to insufficient numbers or circumstances beyond our control), we will offer you the choice of a full refund or an alternative trip of comparable value where available. Refunds due under this policy will be processed within 14 business days.

5. Changes to bookings

Requests to amend a confirmed booking (such as dates, destination or traveller details) are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee, plus any additional costs charged by third-party suppliers. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate change requests but cannot guarantee availability.

6. Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers booking with Diving Journeys, and must include cover for scuba diving activities, emergency medical treatment, repatriation and trip cancellation. It is the traveller’s responsibility to arrange adequate insurance and to confirm that it covers the specific diving activities they intend to undertake, including any depth limits.

7. Diver certification & fitness to dive

Travellers must hold the certification level required for their chosen trip and must disclose this accurately at the time of booking. Travellers are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to dive and should consult a doctor if in any doubt, particularly where a diving medical is required by a local dive operator. Diving Journeys and its partner dive centres reserve the right to refuse to allow an individual to dive where there are reasonable concerns about their certification, fitness or safety.

8. Third-party suppliers

Many elements of a trip, including flights, hotels, dive centres, liveaboards and local transport, are provided by independent third-party suppliers. Diving Journeys acts as an agent in arranging these services on your behalf and is not liable for the acts, omissions or default of any third-party supplier, except where we act as the principal supplier of a service. Each supplier’s own terms and conditions may also apply to your booking.

9. Our liability

We will use reasonable skill and care in arranging your trip. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, political unrest, pandemic-related restrictions or the failure of a third-party supplier. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Assumption of risk

Scuba diving is an inherently risky activity. By booking a trip with us, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with diving and related activities, and confirm that you undertake them at your own risk, in addition to any liability held by the relevant dive centre or operator.

11. Complaints

Any concerns arising during a trip should be raised immediately with the relevant supplier and with Diving Journeys, so that we can attempt to resolve the issue promptly. Complaints relating to a completed trip should be submitted in writing to info@divingjourneys.com within 28 days of your return.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action or the failure of a third-party supplier.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Greek courts.
